Halo 3 will cross boundaries and be the biggest seller in entertainment history. The first day sales are set to blow away Transformers, Spiderman 3 or any other movie that has ever released! (This is accepted fact)
This will BTW sell a few extra 360's in the next few months. The Halo 3 sales surge will wipe out the last of the old 360 stock and the new 65 micron chipset will slide out without even needing a closeout sale. Once the new chipset and H3 are both out we could se...
It amazes me that the 360 now outsells the PS2. PS2 sales are fading and OBVIOUSLY those gamers are moving to 360's instead of PS3's.
Between now and the end of the year the 360 will probably outsell the PS2 and PS3 combined (worldwide).
The original xbox was TWICE as fast as the PS2. Didn't seem to hurt the PS2 sales any!
I'd rather have a new machine that hits the ground running every four or five years than one that gathers dust for the first two years.
Hopefully the "720" is only two years away! The graphics chipsets in the 360 and PS3 are both two years old and already visually inferior to a decent Vista PC or Mac.
This is a sign of things to come for this Christmas season. Multiple AAA games will sell loads of 360's. Sony is so desperate they have to sell a demo of GT5 just to throw a bone the loyal followers.
If the 360 outsold the PS3 more than 2-to-1 in August, the numbers could get ugly by the time the December numbers are out.
Everyone is hurt by this format war - mostly the consumers. Looks like HD DVD is using the momentum from that HUGE Chinese endorsement to tell the studios: "You're either with us or you're against us".
Hopefully all of the major studios will join Paramount/Dreamworks and put an end to this war before everyone loses.
The best thing for consumers is for HD DVD to win very soon. By Christmas next year all DVD players $100 and up should be HD DVD compati...
Unfortunately they will probably put out the Theatrical version of Lord of the Rings first then put out the extended versions later - just like they did with the DVDs. The only version even worth watching is the extended version.
Can't wait to buy them on HD DVD - eventually!
After playing the demo for five minutes I realized that I'd rather have a sharp stick in the eye than ever see this game again. I suspect that most people outside of Japan feel this way, thus the game has/will bomb big time.
This is a great episode. LMOA when I see Jimmy and Timmy in their avatars! My friends all wanted to see it, so I've probably seen it a half dozen times and it's still funny as hell.
Southpark rules over the Simpsons and especially Family Guy. I love being able to download the episodes from XBL. They look awesome upscaled to 1080P and Comedy Central seems to have no plans for HD on cable or sat any time soon.
This is good news. Anything to end this stupid battle sooner rather than later. Hopefully some more studios will see the light and jump ship.

Case closed. The PS3 fanboys need to just choke back the tears and move on.
Two Worlds sucks. No doubt about it. Just like Lair.
There's been plenty of bad games for the 360. There's more than enough great games to balance that out. There are so few good games on the PS3 that stinkers like Lair REALLY HURT.
I don't agree with his review, but at least he backed it up with good reasons and his opinion seemed honest. There is always room for differing opinions on games. It's the fanboys that ruin these debates by not giving honest opinions.
The great thing about games is there is such a variety. A game that is great to me might suck to you - and vice versa. Nobody has time or money to buy and play every game. Buy the games that you like and forget the ones you don't.

The gap continues to grow rather than shrink. With loads of AAA games for Christmas (and the new chipset) the 360 will really increase the gap by January. This just means less and less exclusives for the PS3 and more bad 360 ports.
If you were a software developer, which console would you want to invest millions in? They are in the business to make money, not to make fanboys happy. Looking at the console sales and attach rates, I be writing games for the PS2 and 360.
Something tells me this is the last PS3 game for a long time (if ever) that uses motion as it's primary control. PS3 developers around the world are probably scrambling to modify or cancel future motion games at this very moment. The controller is an unresponsive POS. It's not something that can be improved with better software. Maybe if the controller itself is redesigned...
Didn't the guys at ps3fanboy see the relax video yesterday? I guess they didn't drink that Kool-aid.
Too bad external drives on a 360 can be used only for reads and not to save to. MS needs to make this happen sooner than later if they want something like this to really catch on. I guess we could download it on a PC and stream it to the 360, but a functional external drive would still be nice!
LOL! Relax while playing a video game. Yeah right!
The sixaxis is a disaster. Give me an analog stick with rumble and I might be interested in the game.

1) to ascribe (one's acts, opinions, etc.) to causes that superficially seem reasonable and valid but that actually are unrelated to the true, possibly unconscious and often less creditable or agreeable causes.
LOL! The fanboys still defend Lair! This article hit the nail on the head.
Admit it. The game was way over hyped and a HUGE disappointment. Keep your head in the sand and defend Lair, so you won't have to admit the underlying problem: the Sixaxis controller is a POS. Let's see how many big games use motion control after this mess.
That loud clicking sound you hear are millions of keyboards and mice working overtime to remove motion control from future PS3 ...
